Headband fix attempt #2 This picture shows the headband assembly after the three pieces (outer suede, plastic support and inner suede) finished gluing together. The excess suede on the second suede cover has been trimmed off (with scissors) and the screw holes have been punched.

  The important thing now was the sound. So far I am really happy with the way these HP-1 headphones sound. They had been sitting unprotected in a metal storage shed for several years. I remember there were several times when I almost threw them away. Luckily I didn't. When I read the posting by Joop Nijenhuis I immediately retrieved my headphones and started investigating how to repair them...so thanks a lot Joop.
