Headband fix attempt #2 Here is a picture of the plastic headband frame glued to the suede (outer) covering.

Originally I was thinking that I would use my larger plastic template to cut out two identical pieces of suede, then glue them together with the plastic support piece in between. Then I figured it would be a lot of trouble to cut identical pieces and try to align them while I glued them together. That is why I just glued the plastic frame to the one suede outer piece first. This picture shows that I will be able to glue the first assembly to the suede material source then use the first assembly as a guide to cut out the final headband assembly. Note: it is important that before this step is performed that the screw mounting holes are punched through the first assembly. This picture doesn't show that step completed.

After I punched the screw mounting holes through the suede of the first assembly, I roughly traced out the second piece of suede on the piece of hide. Then I cut out the second suede piece so it would be easier to work with in the final assembly. The picture below shows the step where I glued the second piece of sued to the first assembly. I used tacky glue on the plastic frame and I used the Tanner's Glue for the places where suede would be touching suede. The potato chip bag clips were necessary to hold the edges together while the Tanner's glue dried. I gave it fifteen to twenty minutes.
